Nagarhole or Kabini is a national park located in Kodagu district and Mysore district in Karnataka, India. It is one of the India’s premier Tiger Reserve along with the adjoining Bandipur Tiger Reserve.
This park / kabini forest was declared the thirty seventh Project Tiger, Tiger reserves of India in 1999. It is part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. The Western Ghats Nilgiri Sub-Cluster of 6,000 km2 (2,300 sq mi), including all of Nagarhole National Park, is under consideration by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee for selection as a World Heritage Site. The park has rich forest cover, small streams, hills, valleys and waterfalls. The park has a healthy predator-prey ratio with many tigers, gaur, elephants, Indian leopards, and deer.

At Kabini. We have two Jungle Safaris on this day. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included.

Last day. Morning Safari. Post Breakfast check out and drive to Bangalore
Our Standard Kabini tour packages packages are for 2 nights with 3 Jungle Safaris or 3 Nights with 5 Jungle Safaris. For 3 Nights / 4 Days Package with 5 Safaris we shall have one more day and would be similar to Day 2.

Climate at Kabini
Summers at Kabini National Park, are hot and dry with maximum temperature of 33 º C. However it is the best time to spot tigers. Animals are easily found around the lake and enable good wild life sightings. The winters are cooler here but short spanned from November to January with temperature dipping to a minimum of 14 º C. This time is exceeding pleasant and best for those who do not wish to sweat much. From June to September due to the rains the roads are washed out and hence we do not recommend tourists to visit during these months.

How to Reach Kabini
By Rail
The nearest railway station is Mysore Railway Station, 96 kms. Regular trains connect this station to major cities in India. From there, taxis and buses and taxis are available to Nagarhole. Alternatively, one can take a train to Bangalore and travel by road from Bangalore to Nagarhole.
By Air
The nearest airport to Nagarhole National Park is Mandakalli Airport. Mysore that is located at a distance of around 98 kms. This airport has regular flights connected to Bengaluru. The nearest international airport is in Bangalore, around 268 kms. It is well-connected to important Indian and International cities through regular flights. Rent a taxis from the airport to Nagarhole.
By Road
Kabini is well connected through major cities like Bangalore and Mysore.
Wildlife
Kabini National Park protects the wildlife of Karnataka. we recommend you discover the spirit of Kabini national park during a Kabini jungle safari organised by jungle trail. The important predators and carnivores in Kabini National Park are the Bengal tiger, Indian leopard, dhole, sloth bear and the striped hyena . The herbivores are chital, sambar deer, barking deer, four-horned antelope , gaur , wild boar and Indian elephant. Kabini (Nagarhole) National Park provides an opportunity to see some of the southern population of gaur. Also, this national park in Karnataka is a good place to see elephants in the luxuriant forests and bamboo thickets which they most enjoy.
Other inhabitants include the common palm civet, various typed of mongoose, black-naped hare, mouse deer, Indian pangolin, red giant flying squirrel, Indian porcupine and Indian giant flying squirrel. Commonly found reptiles include the mugger, common vine snake, common wolf snake, rat snake, bamboo pit viper, Russell’s viper, common krait, Indian rock python, Indian monitor lizard and the common toad.
Over 250 species of birds are found at Nagarhole (Kabini) National Park. Besides the enormous variety of woodland birds, there are large congregations of waterfowl in the Kabini river. Birds range from blue-bearded bee-eater, scarlet minivet and Malabar whistling thrush to the more common ospreys, herons and ducks
